Thelma Cansler

Thelma Lucille Cansler, 68, of Duncan passed away Monday, April 15th, 2013 in the Comanche County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at the United Pentecostal Church located 1015 West Plato Road with Reverend Randall Pitts officiating. Interment services will be 3:00 PM in the Bridgeport West Side Cemetery in Bridgeport, Texas under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Thursday. Thelma was born March 8, 1945 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the daughter of Ambrose and Ethel (Jacobs) Pollock. She and Gene Cansler were married at Jacksboro, Texas on February 28, 1975. She was an active member of the United Pentecostal Church where she had taught Sunday School for over 20 years and love collecting porcelain dolls. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister. Survivors include her husband Gene Cansler of the home in Duncan; two sons Bobby Winebrinner and Freddy Winebrinner both of Bridgeport, Texas; a daughter Sandra Winebrinner of Duncan; a step son Gene Cansler, Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two step daughters Angie Cunningham of Russellville, Arkansas and Teresa Cansler of Bridgeport, Texas three brothers Gary Pollock, Jimmy Pollock and Darrell Pollock all of Bridgeport, Texas; fourteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren as well as a host of friends.
