Betty Jean Hamblin

Betty Jean Hamblin, 58, of Duncan passed away Thursday, February 27th, 2014 at her home in Duncan. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tracy Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Duncan cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Betty was born August 23, 1955 at San Diego, California the daughter of Edward and MArtha Roberta (Gibbs) Ballard. She graduated from the Kingsburg High School in Kingsburg, California. She and Richard James Hamblin were married at Crossfield, Tennessee on September 26, 1978. She enjoyed collecting thing such as lighters, coins and anything Elvis. She love camping, going out for coffee and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Margaret Stevenson. Survivors include her husband Richard of the home; three daughters Cassandra Dismuke of Louisiana, Dawn Hamblin and Dana Hamblin both of Duncan; three sons Charles Owen Hamblin and James Luther Hamblin both of Ventura, California and Billy Hubble of Atoka, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren; a great grandchild and a special niece Mary Tribble of Duncan.
