Brett Alan Corley

Brett Alan Corley passed from this life on April 25, 2026, in Arvada, Colorado. He was born on November 26, 1960, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Carolyn and Richard Rex Corley. Carolyn later married Rick Rodgers and Rick became his beloved dad. Brett was 65 years old and suffered from diabetes complications.

Brett was extremely sensitive and was known for his wonderful sense of humor. He was voted wittiest boy in his freshman and senior class. He loved music and was able to imitate Elvis Presley. He loved to sing and he was a wonderful dancer. He won several contests for his dancing. He attended schools in Locust Grove, Pryor and Claremore. He graduated from Claremore High School and attended the Oklahoma State University for 1 ½ years.

He did construction work as a teenager and was very proud of his ability to frame houses. His big brother Rex Corley talked him into sales. They sold siding and windows in Oklahoma and later moved to Denver, Colorado in 1988. They started their own company, Heritage Siding and Windows.

When Rex and Brett closed their company, Brett continued to be a salesman. He later sold roofing and got Rex involved in the business. Rex then started Masterpiece Roofing and Brett became a salesman for him. It's been said they could both sell refrigerators to Eskimos. They both thought the other one was the best salesman that they had ever know.

Brett married Debra Tyrrell and in 1997 they had a son Brett Maverick Corley. They decided to call him Maverick. He had a half-brother named Taber Tyrrell that was 12 years older than Maverick. Brett and Debra later divorced, and he stayed single for the rest of his life. He made his home in Arvada, Colorado.

As a youngster, Brett loved to fish and hunt. He and brother Rex roamed the woods at Locust Grove and enjoyed growing up in the country. He later learned to play golf and enjoyed that. He was quite an athlete and won a lot of recognition as a football player from the 6th grade until his senior year.

He was multi-talented and could have been a professional comedian. We all got to enjoy his humor and Kindness. He was especially close to his mother and big brother. He loved deeply and will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his son Maverick Corley and parents Rick and Carolyn Rodgers. He was preceded in death by his biological father Richard Corley, his grandparents on both sides and his big brother Rex Corley.

A graveside service will be held May 7, 2026 in the Duncan Cemetery at 11:00. He will be buried next to where his mother will be buried.

Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
