Carl Jarboe, 81, of Rush Springs, Oklahoma passed from this life Friday, August 21, 2026 in the Glenhaven Assisted Living in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 26, 2026 in the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs with Reverend Paul Phipps officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
Viewing will be held from 9 AM to 7 PM Tuesday in the Callaway Smith Cobb Funeral Home in Rush Springs.The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM.
Carl was born August 4, 1945 in Lexington, Oklahoma the son of Carl and Isal (Sherman) Jarboe. He graduated from the Lexington High School in Lexington, Oklahoma. He and Janaus Elaine Woods were married in Wayne, Oklahoma on February 7, 1970. He served in the United States Army. After returning from active service he attended Murray State College transferring to, Oklahoma State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education Science. He taught Agricultural Education 45 years the last 25 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma retiring in 2015. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, welding, building what he couldn't buy and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife Jan Jarboe of the home in Rush Springs, Oklahoma; sons Cory Jarboe and wife Alicia of Duncan, Oklahoma and Chad Jarboe and wife Carla of Broxton, Oklahoma and granddaughters Brylee Jarboe of Broxton, Oklahoma and Caylyn Jarboe of Duncan, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Steve Jarboe, Kenny Baker, Caleb Plett, Ethan Rowell, Scott Weber and Robert Weaver.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell Kluge, Clyde Kluge, John Mollet, Larry Long, Dr. Michael Tripp and David Dorrell.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oklahoma FFA Foundation 1500 West Seventh Ave. Stillwater, Oklahoma 74074. Check may be made payable to the Oklahoma FFA Foundation with a memo to the Carl Jarboe Memorial Trust.
