Dorothy Louise Hamby

Dorothy Louise Hamby, 84, of Duncan passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 in the Duncan Regional Hospital. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial service will be held in Valacito, Colorado this fall. Dorothy was born November 12, 1928 at Kalamazoo, Michigan the daughter of John William and Alice Mary (Strong) Jenkins. Before retiring she was a house keeper, loved to make ceramic dolls, sewing and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Comanche Senior Citizens and before she moved to Comanche, active member of the Duncan Senior Citizens and Red Hat Society. Survivors include her daughter Brenda Phillips of Comanche; step-daughter Cindy Jennings of Streamwood, Illinois; grandchildren Frank Rightmire of Comanche, Michael Rightmire and wife Roni of Duncan and David Rightmire and wife Kagen of Comanche; eight grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; three brothers John Jenkins of Arizona, Jack Renger of Texas and Jim Renger; a sister Cathy Blansett of Alabama.
