Dorothy Mae Harrington Mason, 96, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 in the Wilkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she was widely known as "Princess Dorothy". Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the Duncan Cemetery. Dorothy was born July 10, 1924 in Houston, Mississippi the daughter of Charles Curtis and Elise (Griffin) Harrington. She was soon to celebrate her 97 birthday here on earth but decided to spend this and all her birthdays in Heaven with Jesus. She and Paul Ward Mason were married on his birthday, February 8, 1947 and they were married fifty years prior to his passing on April 10, 1997. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Sheryl McGhghy's Sunday School Class. She had many jobs through the years. She worked in Tulsa at the Sears and Robuck store, then after moving to Duncan in 1962 she worked at Security National Bank as a book keeper, Jim Allen Real Estate and Wal-Mart as a greater untill she was 88. She was an activel member of The Order of Eastern Star and The Order of Amaranth for many years. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and a grandson Brett David Gonsoulin. Survivors include her daughters Rebecca (Becky) Gonsoulin and husband David of Montgomery, Alabama and Shirley Schornick Barker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister Elise Harrington Woolsey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren Tina (Gonsoulin) Holmes and husband Andy, Brian Gonsoulin and wife Heather, Jena (Gonsoulin) Jones and husband Justin, Traci (Schornick) Thompson and husband Bill, Kristopher (Toffer) Schornick and wife Disa and Brad Schornick and wife Monica as well as many great and great great grandchildren.
