Dorothy Standridge

Dorothy Arlene (Simons) Standridge, 77, of Duncan passed from this life Sunday, August 3, 2025 in the Wilkins Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Elvis Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Ft. Sill National Veterans Cemetery.

Dorothey was born February 22, 1948 in Sayer, Pensilvania the daughter of Donald and Roberta (Couginn) Simon. She graduated from the Rush Springs High School. She and Charles Standridge were married in Rush Springs, Oklahoma on August 26, 1967 and he preceded her in death on June 12, 2023. She worked as a Retail Sales Manager for Montgomery Wards. She enjoyed collecting ceramic horses and raising horses. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her children Brian Standridge and Judith Owens and husband Dale all of Duncan, Oklahoma; brother Don Simons and wife June of Foster, Oklahoma; sister Sarah Simons Rhodes of Lima, Ohio and special nephew John Simons of Foster Oklahoma.
