Edward Lee Moore, Sr. of Goldsby, Oklahoma went to be with his Heavenly Father Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in the Norman Regional Hospital.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday in the Vamoosa Cemetery with Reverend Brad Ezell officiating. Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home in Duncan, Oklahoma.
The family will receive friends for visitation of Friday at the Funeral Home.
Ed was born May 1, 1943 in Ignorant Ridge, Oklahoma the son of Monty Lee and Lela Cecil (Dorsey) Moore. He graduated from the Vamoosa High School in 1961. He and Willa Jo Bailes were married at Konawa, Oklahoma March 18, 1966. He served in the United States National Guard, retired from the Oklahoma City Police Department in 1987 after 20 years of service, he served as the Mayor of Konawa, Oklahoma from 1989 to 1993 and worked for the United States Marshals Service from 2001 to 2012. He loved cars, especially his 1968 Dodge Charger, fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Willa Jo Moore of the home in Goldsby, Oklahoma; children Edward Lee Moore, Jr. and wife Faye of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Angela Clester and husband John of Okeen, Oklahoma, Beau Moore of Norman, Oklahoma, Dee Lyles and husband Wilson, and Jeanie Deal and D.J. Deal of Goldsby, Oklahoma; grandchildren Brandy Beasley, Ryan Madden, Michelle Moore, Edward Lee Moore, III, Heather Moore, Audra Davis, Deidra Clester, Zoe Clester, Trinity Clester, Hailey Clester, Isaac Clester, Blake Lyles, Hunter Deal, Kailey Deal, Ember Deal; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brothers David Mooreof Sulphur, Oklahoma, Donald Moore of Waukomis, Oklahoma and Larry Moore of Muskogee, Oklahoma; sister Sue Ivey of Konawa, Oklahoma and Charlene Franks of Henasee, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
