Eula Faye Baldwin

Eula Faye (Doyal) Baldwin, 92, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 26, 2026. She was 92 years, 2 months, and 3 days old.

Faye was born on June 29, 1934, in Grady, Oklahoma, to David Columbus Doyal and Leona (Davis) Doyal. She attended school in Comanche, Oklahoma.

Faye married the love of her life, James Eddie Baldwin, on May 23, 1952, in Wichita Falls, Texas, shortly before graduating from high school. She barely made it back in time to line up with the other graduates for her commencement. After retirement, Faye and James returned to Comanche, where they made their home.

Faye was a talented and avid seamstress who loved crocheting and making quilts. She found great joy in the simple things in life-sitting on her front porch watching the baby calves, squirrels, birds, chickens, and her two donkeys. She also loved putting puzzles together and planting flowers. Her creativity, love of home, and appreciation for the little things brought warmth and happiness to those around her.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Eddie Baldwin; two sons, Donny Baldwin and Todd Baldwin; son-in-law Tommy Batson; daughter-in-law Shannon Baldwin; grandsons TJ Batson and Michael Baldwin; granddaughter Kim (Batson) Riggs; seven brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by her three children, Ron Baldwin of Comanche, Kathy Batson of Stinnett, Texas, and Paula and Lou Baldwin of Lawton; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Louise Doyal of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Faye will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched, the quilts and creations made by her hands, and the love she gave so freely to her family.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 3, 2026 in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Austin Missey officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche Oklahoma under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
