Joel Fredrick Bench, 79, of Duncan passed away Friday, January 14th, 2011in the Duncan Regional Hospital. Graveside Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 18th, 1931in the Alma Cemetery with Reverend Rocky Keck officiating. Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM Sunday in the Bailes-Polk Velma Chapel. He was born at Walls, Oklahoma on May 18, 1931 the son of Charley and Danner Stephens Bench. He was an Oil field rough neck and loved hunting and fishing. he was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters. Survivors include five sons Freddie Bench, Jr. of South Carolina, Jack Bench, Lerry Bench and Larry Bench all of Velma and Joel Bench, Jr. of Poteau, Oklahoma; a brother Stanley O'Dell of Countyline, Oklahoma; two sisters Betty Cox of Velma and Pauline Groggins of Wilberton, Ok; five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
