Mary L. Jones, 80, of Duncan went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, September 17, 2015 in the Country Club Care Center in Duncan. Service will be 2:00 PM Monday in the New Hope Baptist Church West with Reverend Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will be in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Mary was born October 3, 1934 at Soper, Oklahoma the Daughter of Walter and Bessie (Harper) Routon. She and Meabon Ray Jones were married October 15, 1956 at Anson, Texas and he preceded her in death on September 13, 2002. She came to Duncan from Abileeen, Texas in 1956 and was a faithful member of the New Hope Baptist Church West. She was employed by the Haggar Slack Company and Abby's Dress Shop for 12 years. She and her husband established their family business "Total Look Upholstery" for twenty years in addition to owning and operating numerous Laundromats. In recent years she enjoyed doing alterations for the public. She was known by many for her exceptional sewing ability. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Adrian Routon, sister Geneva Routon and son-in-law Jim Tyler. Survivors include her son Charles Jones and his wife Keyla of Marlow, Oklahoma; daughters Belinda Whatley and her husband Terry of Enid, Oklahoma and Donna Tyler of Durant, Oklahoma and grandchildren Kimberly Brown of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Derek Jones of Duncan, Delisa Morgan and husband Lyndal of Marlow; great grandchildren Tyler and Caden Brown of Fayetteville, Arkansas as well as nine grand dogs.
