Oris Ray Ritter

Oris Ray "Bud" Ritter, 91, of Duncan passed from this life Thursday, October 1, 2026 at his home in Duncan, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday in the Freedom Biker Church with Reverend Billy Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

There will be no viewing at the funeral home.

Oris was born March 28, 1935 in Marlow, Oklahoma the son of Melvin Marvin and Mabel (Davis) Ritter. He and Sherry Louise (Sorenson) Moreno were married October 3, 2015 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He was a welder and owner of Ritter Construction in Mobile, Alabama. He had a tremendous work ethic, enjoyed gardening, traveling and never met a stranger. He was an active member of the Freedom Biker Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include his wife Sherry Ritter of the home in Duncan, Oklahoma; two sons Chris Ritter of Mobile, Alabama and Michael Moreno, Jr. and wife Sherry of Duncan, Oklahoma; two daughters Susan Shaffer and husband Jerry of Duncan, Oklahoma and Sherra Darrough and husband Mark of Mobile, Alabama; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
