Ruth Stephens

Ruth Alyne Stephens, 84, a former longtime Marietta, Oklahoma Resident passed from this life Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at her home in Marlow, Oklahoma.

Services will be 10:00 AM Friday in the Marlow First Assembly of God. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, Oklahoma at 3:00 PM. Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Ruth was born January 7, 1940 at Courtney, Oklahoma the daughter of Wilson Franklin and Lois Califern (Smith) Whitener. She and Harvey Leora Stephens, Jr. were married August 7, 1959 in Dallas, Texas and he preceded her in death on June 29, 1996. She was a homemaker who loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church. She also enjoyed camping, sightseeing, family vacations and any activity that allowed her to spend time with her family.

Survivors include her children Harvey (Doug) Stephens and wife Ruth of Weir, Kansas, Barry Stephens and wife Charlene of Denton, Texas, Gary Stephens and wife Jenny of Marietta, Oklahoma, Celena Cole and husband Gerald of Marlow, Oklahoma, Ronda Sconce of Springfield, Missouri and Rebecca Holden and husband Jason of Carthage, Missouri; grandchildren Kimberly Holden, Keith Stephens, Kaylene Stephens, Shasta Lemons, Cheyenne Stephens, Jaron Stephens, Bethany Blankenship, Carrissa Stephens, Joseph Love, Trenton Love, Haylien Love, Kellen Love, Paige Cole, Mackenzie Sconce, Morgan Sconce, Molly Sconce, Mikayla Sconce, Xander Vazquez, Ayden Vazquez and Rihanna Vazquez and numerous great grandchildren.
